T-mobile call forwarding

Unconditional forwarding

Unconditional forwarding immediately routes all incoming calls to the number specified. Unconditional forwarding takes precidence over conditional forwarding.

The following MMI codes manipulate unconditional forwarding.

  • **21*+<country code><phone number># [SEND] (activate unconditional forwarding)
  • ##21# [SEND] (deactivate unconditional forwarding)
  • *#21# [SEND] (report status of unconditional forwarding)

Conditional forwarding

Conditional forwarding routes all incoming calls to the number specified when the corresponding condition is met. There are three forwarding conditions.

  • No answer after specified period
  • Unreachable due to no signal or phone powered off
  • Busy on another call

Conditional call forwarding can be made to simulate unconditional call forwarding by forwarding on unreachable and then turning off your mobile phone (which makes it unreachable).

Because conditional forwarding is integral to correct operation of your voicemail, before changing any values, you should verify what they're set to first (write it down), so rather than deactivating it, you can set it back the way it was. Most likely, the number is a T-Mobile? voicemail number: +18056377243 (+1-805-MESSAGE). Since it's possible that your voicemail box only works from some numbers (not my experience, but it's possible), it's probably best that you restore it to the original number.

The following MMI codes report conditional forwarding status.

  • *#61# [SEND] (forward on no answer)
  • *#62# [SEND] (forward on unreachable)
  • *#67# [SEND] (forward on busy)

Most likely, these will all be the same number.

The following MMI codes manipulate conditional forwarding.

  • **004*+<country_code><phone_number># [SEND] (all conditional forwarding) e.g. **004*+13115552368#
  • ##004# [SEND] (cancel all conditional forwarding)
  • **61*+<country_code><phone_number># [SEND[ (forward on no answer) e.g. **61*+13115552368#
  • **61*+<country_code><phone_number>**<seconds># (forward on no answer specifying ring time)
  • ##61# (cancel forwarding on no answer)
  • **62*+<country_code><phone_number># [SEND] (forward on unreachable) e.g. **62*+13115552368#
  • ##62# (cancel forward on unreachable)
  • **67*+<country_code><phone_number># [SEND] (forward on busy) e.g. **67*+13115552368#
  • ##67# (cancel forward on busy)
